Vehicle Registration ay ang official record na nag-identify ng ownership at legal operation ng sasakyan. Required ng law.

Legal Requirements

  • All vehicles MUST be registered
  • Registration must be valid/current
  • Certificate of Registration (CR) must be carried
  • Penalty for expired/fake registration

What is "Colorum"?

Vehicle na driving without valid registration. Illegal! Heavy penalties:

2. Original/New Vehicle Registration 🚗

3. Vehicle Registration Renewal 🔄

Annual Renewal Schedule

Renewal is based on your Plate Number's ending digit:

Plate Ends With Renewal Month
1 January
2 February
3-0 March-December (respectively)

Grace Period: Usually 60 days after renewal month (but better renew on time!)

4. How to Register at LTO 📍

Step-by-Step Process (New Registration)

  1. Prepare Documents: Gather all required documents (sales invoice, COC, clearance)
  2. Get Medical Certificate: Physical exam (for drivers first registration)
  3. Visit LTO Office: Go to nearest LTO office with documents
  4. Get Number: Take queue ticket, wait for your turn
  5. Submit Documents: Present docs at counter, clerk checks completeness
  6. Pay Registration Fee: Fee depends on vehicle type/engine displacement
  7. Vehicle Inspection: Physical inspection ng vehicle (conduction, engine, chassis)
  8. Take Photo: Pose for official registration photo
  9. Receive CR: Certificate of Registration - your official proof!
  10. Get Plates: Receive new plate numbers/stickers

Annual Renewal (Simpler than Original)

  1. Check Due Date: Look at your current CR for renewal month
  2. Visit LTO: During renewal month or grace period
  3. Present Documents: Current CR, Valid driver's license, ID
  4. Minor Inspection: Quick vehicle check (tires, lights, chassis #)
  5. Pay Renewal Fee: Usually ₱300-₱2,000+ depending on vehicle
  6. Receive New CR: Updated Certificate with new expiry date
