Fractions, Decimals, and Order of Operations
Perform all four operations on fractions and decimals, and follow the order of operations (GMDAS).
Remember GMDAS: Grouping, Multiplication/Division, Addition/Subtraction. Do whatever is inside parentheses first.
Ratio, Proportion, and Percent
Solve problems on ratio and proportion, and on percent โ including discount, commission, and simple interest.
In percent problems, identify the Base (the whole, usually after "of"), the Rate (the % number), and the Percentage (the part).
Integers and Basic Algebra
Add, subtract, multiply, and divide integers (positive and negative numbers), and evaluate simple expressions with variables.

Geometry, Measurement, and Data
Find the area and circumference of circles, the volume and surface area of solids, and interpret pie graphs. Compute simple probability.
Probability = (favorable outcomes) รท (total outcomes). It is always a number from 0 (impossible) to 1 (certain).
