1. Core Ethical Principles ⚖️

Autonomy

Respect the client's right to make their own decisions. Informed consent.

Beneficence

Act in the best interest of the client. Do good.

Non-maleficence

"First, do no harm." Avoid causing harm to the client.

Justice

Fair distribution of resources. Treat all clients equitably.

Veracity

Truthfulness. Honest communication with clients and colleagues.

Fidelity

Loyalty and faithfulness. Keep promises, maintain trust.

Prohibited Acts

  • Practice without valid license
  • Using false credentials (OTRP title)

3. Professional Conduct 👔

Confidentiality

Protect client information. Only share with consent or legal requirement.

Documentation

Accurate, timely, legible records. Legal protection for both client and therapist.

Continuing Professional Development (CPD)

Maintain competence through lifelong learning. Required for license renewal.
